This ATS shoe was used extensively by New York Central, Chicago and North Western, Southern, Atlantic Coast Line and other railroads to pick up signals in passenger territory, whether the locomotive was used in passenger or freight service, in order to insure a positive stop if the loco passed a red signal. It closely resembles the prototype supplied by General Signal Corp. This is a re-issue of the original ATS shoe offered nearly five years ago! Quality exceeds what is shown in the photo. Also note that an extra cylinder is included in case one of the small parts becomes lost. Kit does two locomotives.
